Official Language: An Introduction
Official language is the declared language of a state or country which is used for all official purposes i.e. government work. The decision of mere language or public language is not made by royal decree, but the working language of the government (official language) is decided by the constitution, acts, rules and orders.
According to Article 343 (1) of the Constitution of India, the official language of the Indian Union is Hindi and the script is Devanagari. Its decision was taken on 14 September 1949 when Hindi was adopted as the official language by the Constituent Assembly, to commemorate this, 14 September is celebrated every year as Hindi Day.
There was a strong reason behind giving this status to Hindi in India because it is the medium of communication for most of the citizens. It is the language of common people and is the basis of effective communication. Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world.
In accordance with the provisions mentioned in Article 344 of the Indian Constitution, an Official Language Commission was established by the Home Ministry of the Government of India for the promotion, dissemination and promotion of the official language Hindi. The Official Language Act 1963 was passed by the Parliament of India to make the flow of the official language more accessible and simple.Subsequently Official Language Resolution – 1968 and Official Language Rules 1976 were also issued. Also, it was arranged that the Official Language Annual Program should be released every year by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs and every possible effort should be made to motivate everyone and energize goal-oriented behavior to achieve the goals set in them.

A departmental official language implementation committee has been constituted in the regional office Raipur which is headed by the head of the office. Besides, this office is also a member of Narakas Raipur in whose meetings the office head participates regularly.
