Scouts and Guides

Scouts and Guides is an integral part of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and followed very religiously in every KV. It helps in building confidence and self esteem among the students. They learn important life-skills, team building ,outdoor adventure, education and fun. It helps them to explore, to discover the world beyond classroom, and also helps in all round development .Various activities are held throughout the year.
To develop the feeling of universal brotherhood , compassion & benevolence the students from class III – X are encouraged to enroll themselves & dedicate themselves to the service of the mankind. Children participate in the RajyaPuraskar and RashtrapatiPuraskar camps. Rallies &Utsav for students Class III-V (Cubs & Bulbul) are organized.

The National Service Scheme is a movement for Sr.Sec. Students to take up the cause of service to humanity. Under the Scheme students organize rallies, marches & camps to spread awareness among the community.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Training in Kendriya Vidyalayas

NCC aims to provide necessary military training to students of KVs and motivates them to join the Armed Forces. At present, 21227 students from KVs are enrolled in NCC. NCC was introduced in 107 KVs in the early 1970s. As of March 31, 2023, there are 339 KVs from various regions where NCC has been allotted and training is going on. About 49 KVs have approached their nearest NCC units and applied to start NCC. At present, there are 21227 cadets (12445 boys and 8782 girls) in 339 KVs across the country.
